Vacation and FREE Apps!

Hey everyone, today I'm PUMPED because I'm about to go on vacation to Tennesee and visit lots of my relatives. Since so many of my last apps review was paid, by request from my aunt, here are my top ten free apps.

1. PapiJump. In this game, you have to guide Papi (little red ball guy) so he will not fall. There is no end, only higher scores. Extremely addictive. In the paid version there are seven new levels!

2. Paper Toss. Ever just sit in your office, wishing you could shoot some hoops? Now you can. Try and throw the paper ball into the trash can by adjusting your shot to counteract breeze from a fan. Previous top free app in the App Store!

3. Mafia Wars. For all of you who have a Facebook account and haven't played this yet, DO IT. This strategy game requires you to manage your mob and take out other rival mobs. If you already have this on your Facebook, sorry, you still have to start over.

4. Slacker Radio. Use this app after you have made an account at www.slacker.com and made a custom radio station. Yes, that's right. Your own custom radio station. You may listen to various artists by browsing on the app, but to maximize use, make your own. You have limited skips in a day and aren't allowed to chose specific tracks, but this might help you find a new favorite song!

5. Rollercoaster Rush Free. In this game you control the speed of various rollercoasters to give the customers the thrill of a lifetime! Be careful though, don't crash!

6. Urbanspoon. You've probably seen this app on TV at least once. Shake to find a restraunt near you. See what other families have rated it. This app is great if you ever just can't decide where to eat. We have discovered lots of new family favorites by using this app!

7. What Would You Chose? Free! This game should be played with two or more people. First, chose a category and the game will give you two options. Chose one! Doesn't sound like much fun, but great for road trips.

8. LightBike Free. In this game, you take contruol of a Tron in his Light Bike and try and defeat he competition. Very hard but a must play for those who have seen the movie.

9. EpicPetWars. This is a sort of cute and fluffy version of Mafia Wars. It offers a little more customization than Mafia Wars. If your child wants to play Mafia Wars, give them this and tell them that it's better.

10. burnit. In this game you draw with gasoline and light the fuse. You can draw on darkness or a photo. On the Iphone you can even "burn the moment", which lets you snap a picture and burn it right afterwards.

Thank you for reading! If this helped you at all, I would really appriciate if you followed my blog! Once again, thanks!

Top Ten Favorite Apps

This morning I was very graciously allowed to sleep in. Having spent a lot of my time playing with the Iphone, I'm going to write about my top ten favorite apps.

1. (Paid) Need For Speed Undercover. This game is just like being at the arcade again but still having great graphics. This game frustrates you at times, but the sense of accomplishment after you win the race is awesome. There is also a HUGE variety of cars to pick from with upgrades to their attributes as well as upgrades that generally make them look cool. This app is 100% worth the (I think) seven dollars if you like racing games. Also one minor note for people who like racing games but aren't very good at them, there is no difficulty toggle.

2. (Paid) Line Rider. For anyone who has played this game on their computer, this is basically the exact same thing. For anyone who hasn't, Line Rider is a great game where you draw a race track for a tiny man on a sled/toboggan. You can draw lines that make him accelerate, don't do anything but let him slide on them, and fake lines for the artist who draws extremely detailed tracks. If I ever want my sister to just SHUT UP, this app has proven it's worth by making kids want to try.

3. (Paid) Amateur Surgeon. (Not meant for small children) This extremely addictive app from [adult swim] lets you play the role of Alan Probe, a pizza guy who, using his trusty pizza cutter and other items, performs surgeries on idiots. One person I have operated on had a magnet in his stomach! Believe me, it gets weirder as the story goes on. I don't know exactly how many, but there are a LOT of surgeries. This is a fun game for the little bit of doctor in us all.

4. F-MyLife. (Free and Paid) This app lets you read other people's stories of how bad their life is. FML is pretty funny, until one happens to you. If you do want this app, I recommend getting the Pro version which is 99 cents. Paying the dollar lets you have many new features like the ability to moderate unpublished FMLs.

5. (Paid) Leaf Trombone World Stage. This game is sort of a parody of Guitar Hero without words. Now before you completely look the other way, there is the World Stage. You can play a tune and submit it. Watch as judges from all over the world rate your playing. You can judge as well, earning Leaf Tokens so your may play on the Stage (you need three). If your kid gets a hold of this app, be sure to give them headphones. When you first start playing, don't take this personally, you are bound to sound awful. Practice makes perfect!

6. (Paid) The controversial, Pocket God. This app allows you to play the role of God to the "pygmies" which are essentially cavemen. There is no objective to the game, but there are many ways to "dispose" of the pygmies. Though this might sound awful to you, the result of this app is a great way to pass the time.

7. (Free!) Tap Tap Revenge 2. This IS Guitar Hero except with three buttons. With a Wi-Fi connection, you can download hit songs like Gives You Hell by The All-American Rejects. EXTREMELY fun.

8. (Paid) Most arcade remixes. As awkward as this might sound, companies are redoing their classics such as Dig Dug, Tetris, and Galaga. (DO NOT BUY POLE POSITION.) The remixes tend to be easier to control, but the app also comes with the classic version if you played them in your childhood.

9. (Free and Paid) Arcade Bowling. This app takes the classic game of Skeeball right to your Iphone or Ipod Touch. I decided to give it a try and was ADDICTED. I would have given this a better rating, but I'm no good at it.

10. (Free! and Paid) 3D Brick Breaker Revolution. This is like the futuristic version of the classic, Breakout. Essentially the same as the original, but with power ups like lasers and mines.

I am extremely sorry that I did not include more free apps, but I think I will do that as a separate article. Thanks for reading!!!

Introduction

Hello everybody, my name is Drake. I am here because I have to type a blog for school(bleh), but hey, I might like blogging. I am going to be describing school and talking about and reviewing video games. I mostly focus on first-person shooters that I own for my 360. Every once in a while i might review a Wii game or........something.

Today school is okay, I guess. We have to take test but we don't have to do our usually boring assignments which is a turn for the better. I just ate a bowl of Golden Grams and am NOT feeling half asleep (for once) so I'm going to list my favorite things about Bioshock, a creepy FPS set in an underwater city named Rapture. This might only make sense if you've played it. (WARNING, SPOILERS) 1.(My Fav) The wrench, the most creative melee weapon I've seen in a game, combined with the Bloodlust tonic. YOU GET HEALTH FOR BEATING THE CRAP OUT OF PEOPLE!!!!
2. Electric trip wires. Need I say more?
3. The fact that, using plasmids, I can launch a man in the air, set him on fire before he hits the ground, freeze him, and finally, send killer bees at him.
4. My natural camoflauge tonic. I turn invisible after I stand still for a few seconds. Use in conjunction with favorite number 2 for maximum LOL.
5. I got the jackpot on a slot machine in Fort Frolic, which unlocks a secret achievment.
6. Sander Cohen's audio diary, "The Wild Bunny". Played the game but haven't got the diary? Look it up on Youtube.(Once again hilarious, but a spoiler at it's best.)
